The transfer ports consist of twin opposing and rearward directed Schnürle ports with a single rear upwards facing boost port. The exhaust exits through a single side exhaust in conventional style in the light die-cast crankcase.
The genuine F2C style push-pull head has been machine by FORA to give almost flat squish. A drop-in glow head is also included with the engine, and the head contains a spare head gasket.
RPM 17200-17500 on an APC 7x6 sports prop with only 1/2 turn on compression to get tune so its running up just as well as my R250 does on the same prop.
It comes with a well made of hard plastic 3.8mm diameter 5 hole peripheral venturi , with an anti-spitback stack in the more recent engines , which is about right for Classic FAI or Vintage Combat.
Using Timmy Tigre fuel*, 1.4 IPN at 15C the engine started and ran first flick after minimal port priming and 4 drops in the venturi, about 2.0 turns open on the needle.
When bolted into Andrew's Classic FAI model performance was great, the model did 23.8 -24.5 sec/10 laps for 38-42 laps using a completely stock APC 7x6 Sports prop.
